Bob Pannell

Bob is an experienced economist, with more than 30 years’ experience in financial services, much of it spent in the mortgage sector.

Formerly chief economist at the Council of Mortgage Lenders, he is now an independent consultant specialising on the UK housing and mortgage markets. Bob ’s main areas of interest are the home-owner and private rental sectors, and the links between the housing market, finance, government policy-making and regulation.

He has excellent research, analytical and report-writing skills, and takes pride in delivering high-quality, clear and thoughtful analysis.
